INFORMATION on FESTIVALS

Students from Vermont District V may audition for participation on one of the many ensembles we host at festival.

HS Band, MS Chorus, MS Jazz Band, HS Orchestra

Students who would like to participate in GMMDV festivals must audition and be accepted in November each year.
Although they may audition for multiple ensembles, students may only participate in one ensemble per festival.
There is a $20 participation fee for each festival (includes dinner).
Students are registered by their teacher by early December (please contact the President if you are not represented by a teacher).
Each festival lasts from 9:00am to 9:00pm (9:00am registration, 9:30 AM rehearsal, 7:00 PM concert)
T-shirts are usually available for $10 each and available through East Coast Printing

Children/Students $8

Seniors $8 (age 60 or older)

Family $25 (4 or more)

In the event of bad weather on Friday, the festival will take place on Saturday (use Friday schedule). Some schools may arrive late due to road conditions.
The decision to use the snow date or cancel the festival will be made by the GMMDV President, Past President, and President Elect by 1:00pm the day preceding the festival.
The President will be responsible for contacting the music teachers, festival host(s) and managers by email and/or phone calls. Teachers are responsible for contacting their students to notify them of the snow date/cancellation. Managers are responsible for contacting their conductors and pianists.
