Auditions:
Middle School Chorus (grades 6-8)
The Middle School Chorus, comprising about 130 sopranos, altos, and baritones, normally performs at the February festival (check dates to avoid conflicts). Pairs of students should prepare to perform the vocal piece both as in unison and then as a round: The piece for 2023-2024 is "Fall"
All voice parts audition with the same piece.
The piece may be performed in a different key than notated (indicate starting pitch on submission form).
Students will perform the piece once in unison, then once through as a round.
If a school has only one student who auditions, either a student from another school or the adjudicator may substitute. If a school has an odd number of students, one student may audition twice (only the first audition is scored).
